GS1 Canada is pleased to provide you with the summer edition of our Food for Thought newsletter. With every edition, we will bring you the latest insights, news and trends impacting the sector and your business.
In response to community feedback on ways to continue delivering value to our users, GS1 Canada is launching new tools and capabilities to enhance our Industry Managed Solutions. Here’s what’s new.
GS1 Canada is introducing a new Barcode Generator tool for users to quickly and easily generate high-resolution barcode symbology for their GTINs, providing a more efficient process enabling users to receive both their GTINs and create their barcodes through GS1 Canada, rather than using third party solution providers to generate their barcode symbols. The first release supports UPC-A, EAN-14, ITF-14 and GS1-128 symbologies, with more to come in future updates.
Stay tuned for more information.
GTIN allocation rules can be complex and confusing, and a wrong decision could result in missed or delayed product listings, or significant costs from repackaging or withdrawing products.
Make the right decisions quickly and easily with GS1 Canada’s GTIN Allocation Assistant, a decision support tool that walks users through a series of simple questions to provide a quick and easy decision on whether proposed product or packaging changes require a new GTIN.
