Healthcare Sector Supply Chain Strategy recommends global standards adoption in healthcare

Ontario’s Healthcare Sector Supply Chain Strategy (HSSCS) recently released a report recommending the need for global standards in healthcare. The recommendations made come from a panel that engaged key healthcare and supply chain stakeholders to leverage their knowledge and experience with current conditions within the healthcare sector.

The HSSCS is part of a larger provincial initiative between the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services aimed at improving the delivery of supply chain management across the Ontario healthcare sector.

Don’t Forget - Publish your foodservice and pharmaceutical product catalogue to SSW

Shared Services West (SSW) is adopting and implementing GS1 global standards, as well as automating data loading to its systems using GS1 Canada’s ECCnet registry for foodservice and pharmaceutical products.

If you are trading with Shared Services West, you need to publish your ECCnet Registry catalogue to them as soon as possible. This data will support business process optimization and improve data quality for SSW supply chain activities. Click for more information about how to publish your data to SSW.
