The Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) is the world's largest product data network. GDSN makes it possible for any company, in any market, to share product information seamlessly.

How GDSN Works

With GDSN, your product data is uploaded, maintained and shared automatically, ensuring trading partners have immediate access to the most current and complete information needed to exchange products on both local and global markets.

If you do not already have a GDSN data pool provider and need to send or receive product information, you can take advantage of GDSN by subscribing to the GS1 Canada GDSN data pool. Your GS1 Canada data pool will enable you to set up your product content and synchronize it with all your trading partners, so you can plug in reliable data for all markets at one time.

GS1 Canada's GDSN data pool is also interoperable with ECCnet Registry.

The process for the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). A five-step process is used to demonstrate the flow of data between Sellers and Buyers, as follows: 1. Confirmation receipt of company data.
