GS1 Canada’s roots stretch back to 1975 with the establishment of
the Product Code Council of Canada. In 1997 visionary industry leader
Art Smith spearheaded the merger of the PCC and Electronic Interchange
Council to become the Electronic Commerce Council of Canada. In 2004 the
ECCC in turn united with its international counterparts as GS1 Canada.
Now a journey spanning over 40 years, GS1 Canada has continued to grow
and innovate. Today we employ 240 people between our Toronto and
Montreal offices in the service of industry across a variety of sectors
from Foodservice to Healthcare and more.
At GS1 Canada we serve our subscribers and our community through five

You do not want just any job. You want the right job. Take some time
to prepare to put your best foot forward with these helpful tips:
-
Do your research on GS1 Canada. Do your values align with ours?
This is an important part of working at GS1 Canada.
-
Apply only to the roles you are genuinely interested
in—applying for all open roles indicates your strengths do
not match our specific needs.
-
Read the job description and identify where your experience
matches. Be realistic—if a position requires 10 years of
experience and you only have three, then it is highly unlikely
that you can get the position.
-
Make sure your resume is up-to-date and error free. Our preference
is for chronologically ordered experience with clearly identified
job titles and dates. We receive hundreds of resumes and do not
want to hunt for your information.
-
If you include a cover letter take the time to tailor it to GS1
Canada—it makes a difference.
-
Include your email address and telephone number to make it easy to
connect with you.
-
We do encourage employee referrals. Check your network and see if
you know anyone who works with us.
