A GS1 Canada subscription helps you get it right from the start by ensuring your products have licensed GS1 barcode numbers, also known as Global Trade Item Numbers or GTINs. GS1 GTINs and barcodes are required by many Canadian retailers, foodservice distributors, ecommerce websites and marketplaces to do business because they ensure that your products are authenticated through unique product identification numbers that are recognized globally. Barcode numbers purchased from other sources could be duplicated or fraudulent and may not be linked to your product or business.

Subscription Options and Fees
A variety of annual subscription options are available based on the number of barcodes you’ll need. Your subscription and associated license is valid for 12 months and automatically renews annually*. If you’re not sure how many you’ll need, use a simple GTIN estimator to help figure it out.
